Tim McGraw & Lady Antebellum June 17 2010

This is definitely out of my comfort zone. I am not a country music fan. But I had started going to more shows lately and my wife Maria didn't quite understand why. She had never been to a concert. And I wanted to show her what was so special about live music. Most of the previous months leading up to this show, she had been addicted to this song by newcomers Lady Antebellum. So I just decided to find out if they would be touring in the area anytime soon. Sure enough, they were opening for Tim McGraw. So I decided to surprise her with tickets. She still didn't understand completely when I told her we were going, but she was somewhat excited.
This is going to be a tricky review. I don't know any of the songs any of the bands are playing. With the exception of the one by Lady A that Maria has been singing non stop for a few months. We get to the venue and I buy Maria her first concert shirt. You got to be sure to get the one with the dates on the back. We get to ou seats which weren't to bad. A little off to the right, but at least you could see. And it wasn't on the lawn! Looking back at the pictures I see that there was a third band on the bill. Love and Theft. I have no Idea who they are. And to be honest, I don't think Maria (who is a country music fan) knew either. So we took selfies at this point.

Up next was Lady Antebellum. And It wasn't until they hit the stage that I think Maria understood the power of live music. For me, It was the best part of the night. She turned to me with excitement in her eyes and said "It's Them! It's Them!!!!" That made the whole night worth it! I teased her a little. I said it sounded like she said "It's HIM!!!" Making it sound like she had a crush on one of them. She danced in her seat, and when they played "Need You Now", her eyes lit up even more. And she sang every word. My job was accomplished. I do everything I can to make her happy. Seeing her this excited makes my year! Here's some pics of Lady Antebellum.

Oh yeah and Tim McGraw played too. She wasn't as excited for him but she knew some of the songs and had fun.
