Another show for my sweetie. Reba to Maria is like Metallica to Me. Only not with the unhealthy addiction to buying everything! After the excitement she showed at the Lady Antebellum concert, I had to take he to see her all time favorite. The one thing that really stands out to me about this show is the average age of the audience. We were the young ones! This was definitely for an older crowd. But they were just as into it as any younger crowd I've seen. Before the show began, I wanted to get her a T shirt. Shirts were going for $50! But I wanted her to have one. The crowd around the merchandise booth was insane! It was a moshpit for old people! As I finally made my way to the front, I had noticed I was a little taller than everyone else around me. Then I heard a voice from behind me. "Young Man! Young Man!" There was only me and one other guy in the crowd she could be yelling for since none of the other people could be considered young. We were both at the counter and both turned around to see who was yelling. It was an older white haired lady about 5 people deep into the crowd. Raising her hand filled with cash in the air. "I will buy you a T Shirt and give you $50 if you get me any T shirt in an extra large!" The other young guy at the front and I looked at each other and then I reached back over the sea of blue hair to snatch that money up before he could! "One extra large coming up!" I actually made money at the merch booth! How many people can say that?! She was happy that she didn't have to fight that crowd and I was happy to help.
Now again, I am not a country music fan. So when opener Lee Ann Womack took the stage, I knew none of the songs. But Maria liked her well enough, so that was good. I did find her setlist online.

Reba was up next. Now I do know a few of her songs from Maria blasting her music for as long as I've known her. 18 years at this time. But that didn't matter. This show was not about me. Maria was singing and dancing right along to every one of them. I found this setlist online also.

ENCORE:
Fancy
Now I kind of regret what I did during the encore. I had a feeling she was going to play "Fancy". And I know that "Fancy" is Maria's all time favorite song. But I took this time to run out to the lobby to get some drinks and to buy her another shirt with the extra $50 bucks I made. I wish I would have stayed. Not to see what Maria described to me as the coolest part of the show, but to see her enjoying it. I won't make that mistake again.
And to round out the night, George Strait. Maria knew quite a few of his songs, but I wouldn't call her a fan. She is a fan of country music. But as far as being a fan of one particular artist, I think Reba is the only one that holds that distinction. But she really enjoyed George Strait also. Found his setlist online too.
