Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators September 25 2012

My wife's uncle won two tickets for this show on a radio station call in the day of the show. He sold them to me for $10 each. So I called Tim up (who is not really a Slash/GnR fan) and away we went. I really like Slash. I think he's an excellent guitar player Guns N Roses were a phenomenon. And at this point, I had doubts they would ever reunite. I never saw them in their heyday so I was excited to see this show. $10 tickets didn't hurt either! Tim bought me a beer and a Jagerbomb at the show which more than covered the price of admission!

I can't remember a second opening act, but for some reason I think there was. There is one I do remember which is a band called Foxy Shasam. They had a sleazy glam rock sound that neither of us really go for. Just not my cup of tea! This was their set list from Setlist.fm

Welcome to the Church of Rock and Roll
 The Rocketeer
 Holy Touch
 Unstoppable
 Yes! Yes! Yes!
 Killin' It
 I Like It
 The Temple

Now Slash! I knew hearing GnR songs with a different singer would be weird, but Myles Kennedy is really good. It still sounded different, but not bad at all. I didn't know the songs from their new album, but it's just good Rock N Roll! I really enjoyed all of the songs.

Halo
Nightrain
Ghost
Standing In The Sun
Back From Cali
Mean Bone
Civil War
Rocket Queen
No More Heroes
Carolina
Doctor Alibi ( A song Slash recorded with Lemmy. Todd Kerns, bass player, handled the vocals here)
Out Ta Get Me (Todd Kerns on Vocals)
Not for Me
Starlight
Slash Guitar Solo (Major highlight for me personally)
Anastasia
You're A Lie
Sweet Child O' Mine
Slither
(Encore)
Fall To Pieces
Paradise City

Now, for some reason, we left before the encore. I am still to this day kicking myself in the ass for leaving before hearing Paradise City. Here's some pics. They're a little grainy but it's all I got.
